Ensign Ryan Kelpor, SNACO
Solaria Air Group
Ryan was always one of those who would give you the shirt off his back if you were cold. He has always been good at solving problems and helping others. He doesn’t seek recognition for and is fairly humble when it comes to his abilities. He does sometimes have an air of confidence that many can find a bit off putting or even appear confrontational, Ryan does his best to make up for it with an easy smile. He is always willing to listen, but isn’t afraid to speak his mind. Though he doesn’t drink often, when he does it is usually a lot. When it comes to leisure activities, you can usually find Ryan in some sort of book or manual, he is always trying to learn something new or on the track running.

Ryan is about average height for a male, with fair skin, dirty blonde hair, and blue eyes. He is lean but well toned, standing at 5’9″ and weighing 150 lbs. He has boyish good looks which lend to him appearing younger than he really is. He has tattoo of Colonial Marine emblem over his heart.
Ryan was born to a very average family in Heim on Aquaria. Most of his life was fairly unremarkable. His Grandfather had served as a Colonial Marine during the first Cylon War and Ryan and always wanted to follow in his foot-steps, however Ryan also had a secret loves, an neither were on land. He loved to sail and to fly. However, due to a series of events that happened in is youth and into his adolescence, that culminated in the death of both his younger brother and mother, he would enlist in the Colonial Marine Corp when he was 20.
Boot Camp for Ryan was one of the hardest things he had ever done. Ryan had never been in the best of shape, and boot camp only further validated that limitation. He had always been on the heavier side and during boot camp Ryan struggled, initially having trouble pushing himself to what was required of him. He was always the target for Intensive Training and the battle buddy for other intensive training sessions when others in his platoon made a mistake. Ryan nearly broke before the end of training, and were it not for a sentimental letter from his grandfather, he might not have made it. Something changed in Ryan that day and he was able to realize his potential and received the proper motivation to see him through.
Whether it was fortunate or unfortunate, Ryan’s enlistment to Corps was relatively uneventful, which allowed Ryan to focus on himself and his career. Being a fairly competent Marine Ryan quickly rose through the ranks, pinning on Sergeant during his first Enlistment. During his second enlistment he applied to become a pilot, wanting to follow to his dream to fly. With a little luck and some good recommendations from his superiors, he was accepted and started his career as pilot.
Ryan had just pinned on Ensign and was assigned to the Acheron a few days before the start of the second Cylon War. He was assigned to the Battlestar Acheron, and upon’s its demise near Scorpia, he and flight managed to pull back from the onslaught and regrouped. They would eventually manage to make their way to the rendezvous point with assistance from Civilian ships.
Ryan’s call sign was bestowed up him by his fellow pilots. As a Marine, chow was continuous; one never new when they would have time to eat a full meal, which resulted in frequent snacking. This carried over into Ryan’s flight training, earning him the call sign of “SNACO” the Snacking Officer.
