This is the first day of the second exodus.
3,600 years ago, an ancient Oracle known as Pythia wrote about the exile and rebirth of the human race. Her teachings were written upon a sacred scroll, telling the story of the twelve great tribes and the civilization they would create. Those teachings, those words, gave life to the Twelve Colonies of Kobol.
But Pythia also foretold our doom:
"All this has happened before. All this will happen again."
The Twelve Colonies of Kobol were twelve distinct worlds located in a remote part of our galaxy. For 2,000 years they were home to the descendants of humans participating in the exodus of Kobol. For most of the two millenia that these worlds were inhabited, the Twelve Colonies consisted of multiple sovereign states but, during the final fifty-two years leading up to the fall of the colonies, all twelve comprised a single state known as the United Colonies of Kobol. After the settlement, the colonies slowly began to prosper and eventually gave birth to a race of cybernetic lifeforms known as Cylons.
They walked among us, they worked alongside us, they became part of our families. Then one day, they evolved... they rebelled... They rose up and killed their creators.
Cylons and man engaged in a bitter twelve year conflict that ravaged both species, only to abruptly end when the Cylons ceased hostilities and offered to sign an armistice. With the signing of the Cimtar Peace Accords and the creation of Armistice Station near the border of Colonial territory, man and machine parted ways allowing the Colonies to rebuild and their people to regroup.
But now, many years later, man's creations have returned and waged a devastating war on their creators home planets. Setting of countless nuclear warheads and destroying the vast majority of the colonial fleet in orbit, the fall of the colonies was complete.
Now, life as we know it is at an end. The twelve colonies of Kobol, prosperous and deprived alike, are gone - wiped out by our own creations. The human race has been reduced to a rag tag group of misfits travelling the stars in search of a new home. We know of ships who fled the war zone, we know their are survivors. It will be our mission to reunite as many of the human race as possible and find a new home.
But Pythia was right; it happened before and now, years later, it has happened again.
Fourteen relatively uneventful days have passed since the fleet left the Helios system in the hopes of tracking down the fleet led by the Battlestar Galactica. With questions already being asked of the fleets Commander, a Raptor reconnaissance team returns to the Solaria with news of signpost on their road to safety. Hanson orders an immediate FTL jump to the location identified by the Raptor team. Upon arrival, they locate a large debris field, indicating the destruction of a ship. Once the debris is brought aboard, the Commander orders an analysis.
Meanwhile, an unsuspecting member of the crew carries out an act of sabotage that is only discovered when the Cylons show up during Solaria's investigation. A member of the crew is soon apprehended, but is the right suspect in custody?

Since joining the Solaria, Jamie had grown accustomed to the regular announcement of condition one being set throughout their surviving fleet of ships.

With a stunning flash of light, the Patrolstar Achilles appeared at its destination. In the CIC, the commander of the ship picked up her telephone and called out over the communications system. “This is the Major. Launch all Vipers and SAR teams,” she declared before slamming the phone back in…
Brent wasn't flying at the moment. Orders from the CAG, something about not having an ECO. Brent couldnt argue with that, because it was true. Most of his flying had been boring and pointless message runs save for that one SAR op he flew with a Vipor pilot in back.…
Three men stood huddled over a console on the large bridge of the Cargo Ship Loki, whispering to each other as they watched the events unfolding. There was a clear sense of tension filling the air as the large bay doors behind them opened and closed.
“What’s going on?”
It had been yet another day of restocking sickbay, and Jamie was beginning to wonder if Dr Callahan or the CMO assumed he was particularly efficient at that job, seeing as he'd been rostered to it twice this week already. It wasn't his favourite thing to do - far from…

Fifteen days after the Holocaust.
I've been outplayed.
My suspicions about a group who has betrayed humanity to the Cylons have been confirmed, as I have been detained for sabotage of the Solaria's Vipers. Apparently this group has also succeeded at deceiving the military, and their narrow thinking,…
