The Day The Bombs Fell
|Description||The arrogance of the Colonials in re-equipping their military with technologies vulnerable to Cylon interference proved to be their undoing. Forty years after the first Cylon War, Cylon infiltrators subverted Dr. Gaius Baltar's Command Navigation Program, allowing an advanced Cylon armada to destroy the Colonial fleet with impunity. The attack resulted in the nuclear bombardment and occupation of the Colonies and the enslavement of most of the few isolated survivors in a series of Farms. Altogether, less than one hundred ships (mostly civilian) survived the attack. These are the stories of our crew on the day of the Cylon Holocaust.|

Cylon and man once engaged in a bitter twelve year conflict that ravaged both species, only to abruptly end when the Cylons ceased hostilities and offered to sign an armistice. With the signing of the Cimtar Peace Accords and the creation of Armistice Station near the border of Colonial territory, man and machine parted ways allowing the Colonies to rebuild and their people to regroup. For over forty years, an uneasy peace reigned.
But now, many years later, man’s creations have returned and have waged a devastating war on their creators home planets. Setting off countless nuclear warheads and destroying the vast majority of the colonial fleet in orbit. Now, life as we know it is at an end. The twelve colonies of Kobol, prosperous and deprived alike, are gone – wiped out by our own creations. The human race has been reduced to a rag tag group of misfits travelling the stars in search of a new home. We know of ships who fled the war zone, we know their are survivors. It will be our mission to reunite as many of the human race as possible and find a new home.
Pythia was right; it happened before and now, years later, it has happened again.
